OUR MISSION: "
And
the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses,
the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to
teach others also." 2 Tim. 2:2 (KJV)
Timothy
International Ministries (TIM) works as an outreach
ministry to internationals studying at Liberty University and
other educational institutions as the Lord opens the door. We
use our many years experience as resident foreign missionaries
to befriend and help international students any way we can and
where ever there are needs. Our ministry to internationals
include several programs designed to meet the many and diverse
needs of internationals making the adjustment to a new
culture:
- First Friend
Project: Our mission to International students
includes a First Friends program where new arrivals are
sought out and befriended by the Roberts and American
students working with us as their Christian Service.
- Cultural Exposure
Project: We sponsor exposure trips to
historical and cultural sites in Washington, DC and other
areas.
- Good Samaritan Project:
We help new arrivals to adjust to the American experience of
banking, language study, public transportation and simply
put, being a home away from home. We are a disciplining
ministry (2 Timothy 2:2) and reach out to the international
students where ever there is a need.
We work closely with the Minority
International Student Office (MISO). This
ministry is supported by the donations of churches and
individuals who see the importance of reaching out to those
God has brought to our doorstep from around the world. We do
not receive any financial support from the university.
Romania
Project: During the last three years our mission has
expanded to include ministry in Romania, Republic of Moldavia,
and Serbia. The Lord has opened the door for us to become
involved in a church planting ministry that includes the
planting of fourteen village churches, an orphanage and
medical clinic. Emmanuel Baptist Church in
Timisoara, Romania sponsors the House of Hope
ministry which houses the church, an orphanage, and medical
clinic as well as missionary outreach that at present includes
the planting of fourteen churches in towns and villages in
south western Romania, The Republic of Monrovia, and Serbia. Timothy
International Ministries partners with Emmanuel
Baptist Church in support of these ministries. Pastor
fellowship and training seminars are conducted each summer as
an effort to encourage and strengthen this outreach.
A Women's conference is planed for February and another
Pastor's conference for June and July 2003. Please be in
much prayer about these conferences. Additional information
will be posted at a later date. Your prayer and financial
support are encouraged and appreciated. All contributions are
tax deductible.
