Timothy International Ministries is a Christian ministry organized under the National Heritage Foundation of Falls Church, Virginia for the purpose of providing Christian Fellowship and assistance to internationals living and studying at American colleges and universities.

Retired foreign missionaries Rev. Harold and Sue Roberts founded TIM in 1996 to provide ministry and assistance to international students.

Timothy International Ministries is supported by mission minded churches and individuals who see the value in reaching out to international students for the purpose of ministering to their special physical and spiritual needs.  All contributions are fully tax deductible.

At present, there are an estimated 450,000 international students and scholars studying at American colleges and universities from every nation in the world.  They represent the world's best and brightest and they are on our doorstep.  Many will be the leaders of their generation.  The American church has been given a wonderful opportunity to carry out the great commission to "make disciples of all nations." Matthew 28:19

A summary statement of faith for Timothy International Ministries

 

ABOUT THE SCRIPTURES

We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that men were moved by the Holy Spirit to write the very words of Scripture. Therefore, the Bible is without error.

 

ABOUT GOD

We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). We believe that Jesus Christ is the second member of the Trinity (the Son of God) who became flesh to reveal God to man and to become Savior of our lost world.

 

ABOUT MANKIND

We believe that man was created in the image of God to have fellowship with Him, but became alienated from that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, man is totally incapable of coming back into fellowship with God by his own effort.

 

ABOUT SALVATION

We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the Cross provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. Therefore, salvation only occurs when a person places his faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as the sufficient payment for his sin.

 

ABOUT THE CHSISTIAN LIFE

We believe that every Christian should live for Christ and not for himself. By obedience to the Word and daily yielding to the Spirit, every believer should mature and become conformed to the image of Christ.

 

ABOUT THE CHURCH

We believe that the church is the body of Christ of which Jesus Christ is the Head. The members are those who have trusted by faith in the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving Him and by making Him known to a lost world.

 

ABOUT BAPTISM

We believe that according to Scripture there is; “One Lord, one faith, one baptism.” This speaks of the unity of true believers, not a second act of Grace. Ephes. 4:5 (KJV)
